Personnel from the Headquarters of the Operational Logistics Force (FLO by its Spanish acronym) have undertaken the telematic monitoring of military equipment and vehicles in the “Brilliant Jump” 20 exercise which took place from the 28th of October to the 6th of November. This part was carried out prior to the multinational exercise “Iron Wolf”, which takes place in Lithuania hereafter until the 20th of November.

To this end, a Movement Control Centre (CCMOV by its Spanish acronym) has been established in the Operations Logistics Support Centre at the Headquarters of the Operational Logistics Force (CGFLO by its Spanish acronym) with the aim of monitoring the equipment from the bases of origin until its arrival in the Baltic country.
For monitoring purposes, the Logistics Functional Area Services (LOGFAS) software tool associated with the ESYL (Track and Trace Monitoring equipment) positioning system has been employed. With this tool, visibility is provided at all times and in real time when movements are executed, not only in Spanish territory but also in Lithuania up until the point it arrived by sea.

Thus, the responsible personnel of the host country are informed of the movements that will be carried out with enough time to request the necessary support and the corresponding authorizations.
The CCMOV will remain active during the exercise to support the Logistics Unit involved in “Brilliant Jump” 20 in controlling its logistics movements, as well the subsequent withdrawal.

Technical Support
Technical support from the IT Services Section and the FLO Headquarters’ Activities Monitoring Centre’s Technical Reference Centre is key to developing logistics capacity.
