The 'Almogávares' VI Paratrooper Brigade (BRIPAC) is leading the combined joint exercise 'Lone Paratrooper' 2025 (LP25), taking place from September 8th to 19th at Villanubla Air Base in Valladolid. The exercise brings together units from the Spanish Armed Forces and teams from the United States, France, Portugal, Italy, and Brazil. It is the most significant high-altitude airdrop exercise.

The objective of this international exercise is to improve training and interoperability in paratrooper infiltration capabilities through high-altitude jumps using oxygen, in both HALO (High Altitude–Low Opening) and HAHO (High Altitude–High Opening) modalities, as well as to promote the exchange of experiences among allied nations. To achieve this, the exercise is supported by air assets provided by the Spanish Air and Space Force.

LP25 also serves to evaluate new equipment and materiel that enhance insertion capabilities — essential for conducting navigation and routes that enable patrols to infiltrate covertly.

Through this type of exercise, the Spanish Army works to maintain its high readiness, expeditionary character, and interoperability, ensuring it can rapidly integrate into national operational structures and those of the international organizations to which it belongs.
