The Italian and the Spanish Chiefs of Army General Staff get closer to the "Pinerolo" and "Aragón" brigades' twinning

The wish of twinning Italian "Pinerolo" and Spanish "Aragón" brigades exists from a long time ago, but the 25th of September, in Rome, the first step towards the formalization of this purpose has been taken thanks to the signing of the intention letter by the Italian and the Spanish Chiefs of Army General Staff, Army Generals Errico and Varela.

Project's main aim is to develop new formation opportunities, to reinforce the interoperability and the sharing results reached by Italy in the digitization of the Control and Command System, due to the fact that the "Pinerolo" brigade is the first one to be digitised in the Italian Army.

The initiative, that has been argued in Madrid this month of May during the last meeting between the respective Chiefs of General Staff from both countries, has come to reinforce the consolidated relatioships between the Italian and the Spanish Army, framing inside the Spanish Brigades' twinning project with units belonging to other allied countries.
