The Legion Brigade Takes the 2nd Army General Chief of the Army Staff Trophy

Legion Brigade ‘Rey Alfonso XIII’ is the winning unit in the 2011 Army General Chief of the Army Staff Trophy, in its second season. The Legion Brigade team has reached the best classification after summing up the points obtained in all the events counting towards this trophy.
Second place has gone to the Melilla General Command, and third has gone to 7th Light Infantry Brigade “Galicia”. The events that have counted toward this prize have been those of pistol shooting, orienteering, rifle shooting, shooting patrols, military pentathlon, patrols race and cross-country. The Army General Chief of the Army Staff Trophy annually awards the participation, sporting spirit and results of units in military-sporting competitions. In its first season, in 2010, 1st Legion Regiment “Gran Capitán” was the unit to win the championship and take the prize.
