The Spanish Army has recently expanded its digital presence with the launch of an official TikTok account, @ejercitodetierra, and the WhatsApp channel «El Ejército de Tierra informa» (“The Spanish Army Reports”), two new platforms aimed at bringing the public closer to information about the institution, its missions, the activities of its units, and opportunities to join the Army.

This initiative is part of the Spanish Army’s communication strategy, which includes the use of social media and new content dissemination platforms to promote greater public awareness of the Army and build confidence in its capabilities, always through truthful, transparent, and timely communication.

The launch on TikTok also responds to the need to adapt institutional communication to current information consumption habits, with particular attention to younger audiences. This platform will make it possible to share short audiovisual content on joining the Spanish Army, the training of its units, its capabilities, and the daily work of its personnel, in line with the objective of strengthening talent recruitment and highlighting the importance of human capital, the Army’s center of gravity in terms of operational effectiveness.

For its part, the WhatsApp channel «El Ejército de Tierra informa» (“The Spanish Army Reports”) will provide a direct, simple, and accessible channel for citizens to receive information on activities, missions, recruitment calls, and other content of interest related to the Spanish Army. This initiative reinforces the objective of facilitating public awareness of the institution and maintaining a closer relationship with society, one of the enduring aims of the Army’s communication strategy.
