The Chief of Staff of the Canary Islands Command participates in the forum 'African Land Forces Summit 2024'

The forum was held in Zambia

The forum "African Land Forces Summit" (ALFS) this year was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Canary Islands Command, General Luis Cortés, on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Army. The Zambian city of Livingstone hosted from April 22nd to 26th this edition that hosts the leaders of the General Staff of the African, American and other partner nations, among which is Spain. The forum discusses current issues of common interest, and also fosters cooperation to address challenges and strengthen relations between nations.

On this occasion, the ALFS is sponsored by the US Army General Staff and co-organized by the US Army Southern European Task Force and the Zambian Army, and it was inaugurated under the title "Regional Solutions for Transnational Problems." During the sessions that were held, issues such as human trafficking, the impacts of migration on security or the fight against transnational criminal organizations were debated.
