Soldier Pareja wins the “Spartan Race Munich” in his category and wins bronze in the general one

Soldier Pareja won gold in his category

Soldier Pareja, of the 31st “Asturias” Infantry Regiment, of the 12th “Guadarrama” Brigade, was proclaimed champion of the “Spartan Race Munich” in his age group, and he obtained the bronze medal in the general category of this race, held on April 15th in the German city.

The race consisted of a route of about 7 kilometres, with 20 obstacles, on flat ground and an important part on asphalt, which took place in the Olympiapark (Olympic Park) of Munich, a green lung of more than 300 hectares of extension that was built for the Olympic Games of 1972.

Soldier Pareja was competing for the first time in "Sprint" distance and the tactic to be used was very different from the "Beast" distance, lasting just 47 minutes. After the departure, the pace was very fast, but the soldier didn't make any mistake in the obstacles, a fact that was key to obtaining a good rating.

Perseverance, effort and a strict training paid off for soldier Pareja who, in three weeks, will have to face one of the great milestones of the season: the Triathlon Cross World Championship, that will be held in Ibiza.
