The Army participates in the On Industry event in Cordoba

Showcase of the Army for the event

Personnel belonging to different units of the Logistics Support Command of the Army (MALE in Spanish) -such as the 2nd Wheeled Vehicle Maintenance Center or the 1st Armoured System Maintenance Center- participated in the On industry event, held on April 12th and 13th in Cordoba, which counted with the participation of various companies of the national and international industrial sector.

During the meeting, some of the most cutting-edge technologies based on the 4.0 Industry paradigm were presented. During the event, the soldiers showed some of the technologies that are currently being implemented in the Army.

Among the technologies presented, the tools for the management and control of advanced maintenance, like the Mixed Reality Technical Operational System, stood out. This system uses virtual and augmented reality technologies in order to improve efficiency and accuracy in performing tasks of maintenance and repair in ground platforms. In addition, some multibrand-multisystem diagnostic equipment was presented, which can be integrated with devices that predict real-time breakdowns in ground platforms based on the implementation of artificial intelligence. These tools enable the identification of mistakes and the prediction of breakdowns in vehicles before they happen, improving their efficiency and availability.

Other technologies presented include automatic dialing by means of QR coding and the additive manufacturing, by means of 3D printing, of a wide range of materials, such as high-mechanical performance thermoplastic and metal. These technologies enable the traceability and control of the vehicle components, as well as the manufacture of spare parts in a fast and efficient way.

The presence of civilian and military authorities at the event is proof of the interest and importance given to the implementation of advanced technologies in the industrial sector.
