The Anti-Aircraft Command, framed in the Commander of the Maneuver Support Command (MAM), has carried out the 1/22 "Plus Ultra" exercise between September 19th and 26th, in three Leonese military installations: the "Santocildes" barracks (Astorga), the "El Teleno" Maneuver and Shooting Camp (León) and the León military airdrome (Virgen del Camino). The following units of the MAM participated in it: the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Command, the Field Artillery Command, the Transmission Command and the number 1 Intelligence Regiment. Likewise, it was attended by observers from different units of the Land Force and of the Canarian Command of the Army.

It is a double-action exercise, pioneer in the field study of the emerging threat of the unmanned systems and their neutralization, which involved the participation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), as well as Anti-Aircraft Artillery Systems and Counter-UAS Systems (C-UAS).

This exercise is the first to take place with these characteristics and it is aimed at laying the groundwork for the realization of other similar ones and of the same nature in the future in which the complexity of them increases.

Likewise, on September 21st, the head of the Commander of the Maneuver Support Command, general Juan F. Arrazola Martínez, carried out an inspection visit during this exercise.
